What Developers Can Learn
Intelligence derived from tracked keywords across all Secure Email Encryption sub-keywords
Most Congested
The 'open' market (0.16 concentration) still features Mailvelope with 100K users, setting a high bar for reach.
However, niche players like SendSafely (40K) and SealSend (8K) demonstrate that differentiated positioning with 4.9-5.0 ratings can capture meaningful share despite lower install bases.
Possible Openings
Adjacent terms like 'Email Tracking' (30K searches) and 'Verify Email Addresses' (9.6K) offer lower competition with established demand.
These directions serve complementary needs around email workflow optimization rather than security-only positioning.
Positioning Patterns
Top performers combine security focus with ease-of-use messaging ('Made Simple', 'Secure').
Ratings are critical (4.4-5.0 across top 3), with Mailvelope's PGP-specific approach and 100K installs showing the value of technical credibility despite a slightly lower rating.
