What Developers Can Learn
Intelligence derived from tracked keywords across all Download Facebook Stories sub-keywords
Most Congested
This keyword is dominated by two established leaders: Story Saver (200K users, 4.6 stars) and Save Story for Instagram (100K users, 4.3 stars).
The third-place extension has just 6K users, creating a steep 94K-user gap.
With a 0.721 concentration ratio, the top players control most of the market, making it extremely difficult for new entrants to gain visibility without a clear differentiator.
Possible Openings
Photo and image download keywords show lower competition than video and story saving, with Download Facebook Photos (35.9K searches) having significantly fewer active extensions.
Extensions combining multiple social platforms under one tool may face less direct competition.
Positioning Patterns
Top extensions use generic, multi-platform naming strategies like Story Saver rather than Facebook-specific branding.
The top two maintain high ratings (4.6 and 4.3 stars), while the third-place extension's poor 3.1-star rating corresponds with its minimal user base, suggesting that quality and platform coverage drive downloads more than keyword specificity.
