Step-by-step guides to help you get the most out of Extension Rank Checker
Click the ER icon in your Chrome toolbar to open the side panel.
In the Rankings tab, enter a keyword you want to check (e.g. "vpn", "ad blocker").
Select the locale / language you want to check rankings for (e.g. English, Japanese, German).
Click "Search Rank" to see which extensions appear in the Chrome Web Store search results for that keyword.
If you have a target extension set, your extension's position will be highlighted automatically.
Switch to the Extensions tab in the side panel.
Paste your extension's Chrome Web Store URL or extension ID into the input field.
Click "Add" — the extension's name and icon will be fetched automatically.
Once added, your extension will appear as a "Target Extension" option in the Rankings tab, allowing you to quickly locate your position in search results.
In the Rankings tab, enter a keyword and select a locale.
Click the bookmark icon next to the keyword input to save this keyword + locale combination.
Saved keywords appear in the "Saved Keywords" section below the search area for quick access.
Click any saved keyword to instantly load it and re-run the search.
If you have a target extension selected, the keyword will also be associated with that extension for tracking.
First, add your extension in the Extensions tab (see guide above).
Go to the Rankings tab, select your extension as the "Target Extension".
Search for a keyword and click the bookmark icon to save it — this links the keyword to your extension.
The extension will automatically check your ranking for all saved keyword + locale combinations every 24 hours.
Switch to the Tracker tab to view your ranking history and trends over time.
